Simple Ways to look at Your Marketing
Here are six simple ways to look at your marketing.
1. Discover where the money is. There are always profits to be made when you find underserved customers and provide them with products or services that they need or want.
2. Become better and different than everyone else. You don’t have to be better at everything or in every market-you just have to be better in one aspect of your business in one market.
3. Finding enough customers. Big companies that sell to broad markets usually don’t have to worry about finding customers. Small companies in niche markets need to find customers. Determine who your customers really are. Are they underserved? Can these customers support your business?
4. Motivate your customers to take action! Find the one or two things that you can do that will actually motivate customers to take action. Most businesses have motivation problems. Key factors are having the right product at the right price, choosing an identity that people will remember, developing a compelling message, creating an emotional desire, and giving people a reason to buy.
5. Communicate on a regular basis. Once you know how to motivate your target customers, you need to communicate with them often enough to get them to take action.
6. Making the sale. The first 5 steps are designed to get customers ready to buy. All the work, time, and money are worthless if you can’t make the sale.
